Texas Truck shooting leaves two kids dead

(MENAFN) A shooting at a truck stop near Angleton, Texas, on Saturday left two children dead and two more critically injured. The victims who died were aged four and 13, while the injured children, aged eight and nine, were hospitalized in critical condition, according to local authorities.

"Investigators are collecting evidence and working to determine exactly what happened. All individuals believed to be involved have been detained, and there is no ongoing threat to the community," a sheriff’s office statement said.

The statement further described the situation as a heartbreaking tragedy: "While details are still developing, the loss of two children in such a manner is a tragedy. Our thoughts are with the family and everyone affected as we continue to learn more about this heartbreaking situation.”
